Motivated Surety Underwriter

A leading global insurer with a fast growing presence in Asia, this company is looking for a Surety Underwriter to be part of an expanded Surety Team base in Singapore.



Reporting directly to the Head of Surety, you will be responsible for credit analysis and credit proposals. You will manage all surety documentation including indemnity agreements, risk aggregation reports, management reporting and completeness for audit and compliance. You will develop and expand the Singapore Surety business, implement the go-to-market underwriting strategy and drive long term profitable growth for the Singapore Surety business.



To be considered for this job, you will have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the Singapore market. You will also have strong knowledge of credit assessment of major corporates in the region. Finally, you will possess excellent tertiary qualification and have good knowledge of Accounting & Finance.



On top of the key requirements, you will ideally possess the Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or Commercial General Insurance (BCP & ComGI). Your experience in Insurance, Reinsurance or Banking as well as Surety underwriting experience for the Construction sector will be a competitive advantage.
