Our client are a rapidly expanding ASX listed organisation, that following continued growth have an opening for a Systems Accountant to join their finance team permanently. A newly created role for the business, this opportunity has true to scope for an individual to really add value with the potential to move into management down the line.

As the Systems Accountant you will work with multiple stakeholders across the business and endeavour to find solutions that fix any system issues facing the finance and operational team. Working closely with and reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will also support the team with documenting processes and defining business needs following a new system implementation.

Overview of responsibilities

* Provide high level technical support, including testing, changes and reporting
* Maintain knowledge of the latest system capabilities, promoting areas that can add value to the business
* Provide a focal point for advice on all system issues
* Enhance the ability to extract information using various reporting tools
* Undertake the development of the finance system to support new business initiatives adding value by effectively leveraging its potential in accordance with business needs
* Develop and maintain the applicable accounting documentation, supporting flowcharts etc.

Our client is seeking a finance professional (ideally CA/CPA qualified) who has a keen interest in systems accounting. Previous exposure to a new system implementation or extensive upgrade is essential along with excellent stakeholder management skills. Whilst not essential, experience with Finance One would be highly advantageous.
