This long established local government organisation is currently seeking the services of an experienced Traffic/Transport Engineer for the Sunshine Coast region.



Our client requires a candidate with significant experience within the Local Government systems in QLD, to provide expert policy and professional advice, to internal and external stakeholders in relation to road safety and static traffic control devices.



In this role you will manage all traffic investigations, producing high quality technical reports and prepare responses to enquiries from Members of Parliament, Councils and the general public.



You will have experience in leading a small work group to carry out complex investigation and analysis of road infrastructure characteristics including the preparation of recommended remedial actions.

You will also provide engineering solutions and technical advice on a range of complex infrastructure projects including development works on public lands.



To be considered for this role you will have a degree in Civil Engineering with significant post graduate experience working as a Traffic Engineering. Candidates MUST have recent experience working within Local Council with an in-depth knowledge of Council policy, internal processes and procedures.



Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory.
