Storage Architect

Prestigious opportunity with a pioneering ISP for a Storage Architect to be based in the North East! Our Storage Architect will provide technical and management leadership to a team of multi disciplined Engineers, designing and delivering solutions to our Data Centres.



Managing the challenges of a fast paced environment and large enterprise scale platforms, you will be responsible for:-



* Leading a specialist skilled team of engineers

* High and Low level design, configuration and test management of the Data Centre multi-tenant cloud platforms

* Capacity Management definition and Reporting for cloud platforms

* Research design best practice to fit the business and customer needs

* Undertaking leadership of project work for the cloud platforms

* Defining and leading technology evaluations against product and architecture road maps

* Working with customer engagement teams on sales proposals, providing input for technology High Level Designs

* Develop documentation including reporting, diagrams, design, build and test documentation

* Provide 4th line support

* Liaise with 3rd party vendors



Successful candidates will possess a proven track record in leading teams of multi skilled platform engineers in addition to:-



*Cloud and Hosting expertise

*Excellent knowledge and experience of backup and storage systems

* Server application and infrastructure platforms

* Excellent knowledge of EMC SAN technology

* Excellent knowledge of Virtualisation, specifically VMware Infrastructure Suite
