Medicaid Business Analyst

Acts as a liaison between customers, the HP account and other support groups to identify business processes, systems, and product requirements; Documents customer specifications and interacts with other support groups to apply understanding of customer's business; Responsible for helping the client articulate their high-level requirements for any information technology system, and evolving them into an appropriate solution so they can be considered for inclusion within the scope of a delivery project; Develops technology-neutral models that represent the client’s business organization, processes, data, and applications and which are in alignment with HP’ Industry Frameworks and Blueprints; Has an advanced level of knowledge, skill and expertise around the particular industry or client that he/she supports; Supports all aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically a Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of three to five years of experience (current within the last year) working with a state Medicaid program.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with Medicaid regulations and business processes.
Gather requirements from a client to ensure HP can provide the appropriate system or level of service to meet business needs.
Determine the extent to which a requirement affects the system, system components, or system architecture.
Use client requirements to develop / define system scope.
Use client requirements to develop business design solutions.
Maintain documentation, keeping system and business process documentation current.
Design and execute test scenarios/cases on new or changed business functions.
Guide testing efforts for system applications, coordinate testing efforts of others, analyze and resolve system defects.
Understand the business flow to effectively communicate with the client in business terms.
Communicate client's requirements to the technical staff.
This is an onsite position in Tucker, Georgia.
