An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Category Specialist to join the procurement division in a large hard-working government department for a permanent position.


In this position you will work closely with a team of procurement professionals and report through to the CPO. This division is responsible for leading, managing and supporting the external stakeholders to deliver optimal procurement solutions that facilitate successful procurement outcomes to deliver on the specific requirements. You will maintain and improve the relationships between internal and external stakeholders for effective delivery of procurement projects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of indirect categories and related sourcing activities.



To be suitable for this position it will be necessary to have experience working with a range of indirect categories such as IT, Professional Staffing or Infrastructure. It is preferred that you have experience working with public sector procurement policies and procedures. If you have experience working with private sectors, it would be highly desirable as you will be commercially savvy with the provision of expertise, advice and assistance to internal stakeholders.
