A Purchasing Superintendent is required by this well respected mining company.

Based near Perth airport you will take on a key role leading and managing the purchasing team dealing with goods and services to proactively fulfil internal customer demand.



As Purchasing Superintendent you will ensure that goods and services are procured in accordance with company purchasing policies and procedures and continuously reduce the risk of "Non-Supply".



Duties will range from the preparation of RFQs, liaising with internal and external customers to ensure parts required and delivered in time and fit for purpose. You will continuously monitor purchasing methods to improve process and drive down internal spend and develop and maintain supplier relationship strategies.



In order to fulfil this role you must possess a high level customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external customers. A high level of computer literacy, with sound skills in Microsoft suite of applications, including word and excel and experience with the use of SAP or similar system is essential. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with various suppliers. Applicants with a background supplying good and services to mining clients will be favoured.



This role offers an immediate start, a generous hourly rate in the region of $80 - $85ph. Initially on a contract basis until September this may become a permanent position.

AUD80.00 - AUD85.00 per hour
