Personal Tax Senior

Experienced Personal Tax job opportunity in Belfast City Centre. Start the New Year with a new role and no doubt gain a pay rise.



You will be at least ATT qualified and holding a CTA qualification is desirable. My client is a developing practice giving their tax qualified professionals an unrestricted career development opportunities in Belfast.



The Tax Senior that will be taking this position will have full autonomy of their client portfolio. You will be involved in the more complex issues with your clients, being their point of contact with the firm and maintaining those strong relationships.



The role covers tax compliance, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, planning/advisory work and employment tax issues. Our clients range from high net worth individuals, trusts, entrepreneurs to directors and professional partnerships.



Typical activities will include the following:



Responsible for a portfolio of personal tax clients.



Being involved in preparing the more complex aspects of tax returns, maintaining client relationships by being client facing and generally the main client contact.



Identifying planning opportunities and assisting with the presentation to the client.



Involvement in employment tax issues.



Dealing with HM Revenue & Customs enquiries



Practice management including billing, budgeting and monitoring WIP



Involvement in tax planning including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, residence and domicile issues and offshore trusts.



Working with partners on one-off technical assignments for new and existing clients.





Requirements for prospective candidates include:



ATT qualified



Ideally, but not essential, CTA qualified



Excellent Personal Tax technical knowledge required



Shows initiative and experienced in working towards deadlines
