Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance- Tester -Belfast 25k





The Role:



* To take responsibility for testing areas of the developed product and validating quality prior to release.

* To contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of automated and regression testing functions.



Main duties include :



* Planning and preparation of each product release.

* Product requirements analysis and review of product documentation.

* Take ownership of the creation and execution of functional and non-functional software test cases for both system and regression testing of current and future versions of the products.

* Validation of the software to meet global certification standards.

* Work with customers, customer facing teams and developers to reproduce issues, prioritise, retest and deliver fixes.

* Preparation of test reports summarizing test status and results, escalating issues that could affect deadlines.

* Any other reasonable duties as required by Management.



Essential Criteria:

* A 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline

* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a QA role

* Experience of using Microsoft Platforms

* Excellent oral and written communication skills



Desirable Criteria:



* Experience of creating QA/test documentation, adhering to requirements and technical documentation

* Experience of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or 2007

* Experience of writing or maintaining automated tests or NUnit tests

* Proven ability to work as part of a team

* Proven ability to apply quality standards in the production of technical work

* Experience of taking ownership of tasks, with minimal supervision

* Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills

* An excellent understanding of how QA fits into the software development life cycle
