Mission

The Demand Planner is in charge of the consistency of the ideal shipment forecast for his line of product. He/She monitors the forecast loaded by the countries category representatives and ensures the alignment with Business targets as well as the quality of the signal. He/She is responsible for calling out the necessary adjustments and to drive them with the countries and regional business development team. He/She is responsible for filling the gaps between countries forecast and Business targets on the mid- term horizon and to prepare the long term forecast in cooperation with marketing. The demand planner is also playing a support role to the business team, bringing data and analysis in Business Plan preparation discussions.

He/She plays a key interface role between Category and supply chain teams ensuring the countries requirements are properly passed to the Supply Chain team and that supply chain constraints are properly taken into account by the business team.

The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting process maintenance and improvement across the APJ Category organization.

Main tasks

• Work with Countries and APJ business development teams to ensure the forecast quality and consistency.


• Work with Supply Chain to understand the potential materials and capacity issues that could impact the demand.


• Play a key role in demand steering with the countries and APJ Product Marketing teams.


• Monitor the evolution of the actual demand vs forecast and targets and highlight deviations to the APJ Category and supply chain teams


• Make all necessary adjustments to the mid-term forecast.


• Follow up deals and countries escalations.


• Long term forecast preparation and submission


• New Product Introduction and Product End of Life specific process follow up.

Qualifications

• Typically 6-10 years work experience in Demand Planning, supply chain, planning, operations, or related functional area.
