Overall Purpose of Role:
To maintain the existing application as an Software Developer.
By assisting in the achievement of team objectives, the Software Developer Role will contribute to the business goals of the Application Management Team (AMT) by delivering high quality, low cost enhancement projects on-time.
Main Activities / Tasks:
Team member general responsibilities are noted below:
Application Maintenance
- Maintain existing systems by participating in the Analyse, Design, Build and Test phases for enhancements.
- Perform program/release testing programs plus comply with and maintain test documentation and procedures.
- Comply with Release Management procedures, Configuration Management procedures and programming standards.
- General
- Support and perform processes that provide quality assurance.
- Plan and manage assigned tasks, reporting issues and status to the Team Lead.
- Team member detailed responsibilities:
- Client Focus:
- Works directly with client business unit representatives to analyse and define user requirements resulting in the translation to technical requirements to meet client needs.
- Maintains relationships with client. Has ownership for resolving client issues related to team deliverables, and managing client expectations in relation to this.
Process, Procedure & Technology:
- Complies with and manages Change Management and Release Management processes and ensures records are kept up to date.
- Performs estimation according to the established procedures and processes.
- Responsibility for the quality of deliverables and complies with specifications, requirements, standards and procedures particularly in the area of analysis, development, documentation and implementation of structured code.
- Responsible for compliance with and maintenance of operational, technical and functional documentation such as Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and documented procedures.
- Compliance with Configuration Management procedures.
- Responsibility for completing the tasks (including Incidents, Problems and Service Requests) assigned with accountability to the Team Leader for completion of work within KPIs or agreed timeframes.
- Participates directly in “on-call” support.
- Participates in Application input to major and minor patch release deployment processes.
Reporting:
- Assists the Team Lead/Project Manager in producing Status Reports by monitoring and reporting progress of assigned tasks, and on the use and appropriateness of process and procedure.
- Collates and maintains a task list which is up to date and by which the Team Leader/Project Manager can be kept appraised of the status and priority of all tasks.
- Complies with and completes in a timely and accurate manner Project and Accenture time and resource reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contributes new and alternate views on system improvements with options to progress and consequent advantages and disadvantages.
- Contributes to knowledge sharing through Brown Bag sessions or direct hands on education.
- Development of processes and procedures where these are absent.
Personal Development:
- In concert with management maintains a Professional Development Plan (PDP)
- Responsible for undertaking the relevant activities approved in the PDP.
- Complies with the Performance Appraisal processes.

- Must have Australian citizenship.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to BASELINE level.
