The program provides an opportunity for a short-term work assignment for students pursuing degree requirements directly related to our core business. Co-ops are for students who prefer shorter work periods, typically three to nine months during the year. A formal agreement is not required with the school. The company's goal is to relate employment opportunities to the student's academic majors to ensure maximum productivity for all parties involved. The goal of the Intern/Co-op program is to enhance the student's academic training, professional growth and personal development. UTC Corporate Operations based in Farmington, CT is looking to hire Interns/Co-ops for the following disciplines: Commodity Management Quality Supplier Performance Continuous Improvement Corporate Responsibility Supplier Sustainability Information Technology and Business Improvement For IT and Business Improvement, the successful candidate will construct a world map database that links current supplier locations and capabilities with UTC locations and special processes requirements. The database shall be constructed in a way that allows one to query suppliers and their attributes. The incumbent will also conduct internal and external surveys.
