Planner & Buyer / Plymouth / £24000 / Permanent
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of production and material supply activities in support of the organisations revenue and inventory targets, customer requirements and operation's goals for on-time customer order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, run and process Material Requirements Planning routines
Review customer schedules and ensure that requirements can be satisfied from existing orders
Place new works orders and purchase orders to meet customer demand
Generate lead time information and offer a single point of contact for determining delivery commitments.
Support inventory management programmes, whilst ensuring material availability to satisfy manufacturing operations.
Interact with Marketing and Engineering to improve forecast accuracy.
Drive the continuous improvement of our order fulfilment administrative processes.
Required Experience-
Knowledge and experience of Planning - SAP experienced preferred but not essential.
Experience in supply chain within a manufacturing setting
Strong analytical, statistical and computer skills.
Excel knowledge - using formulae, pivot tables & running Macros
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
Knowledge and experience of purchasing - SAP experienced preferred but not essential
