This world leading microbiological company with more than 4000 employees globally is seeking a Clinical Sales Representative to join their team to support the growth in business. This newly created position will see you



Identify potential sales opportunities primarily within clinical, applied and industrial microbiology and manage the complete sales process to completion.

Working closely with clients to determine their present and future needs and proposing suitable products, services and upgrades in order to maintain and grow revenue for the organisation.

Propagate awareness of their product range and identify the full base of possible target customers by various channels including direct marketing, conference participation, commercial seminars etc.

Coordinating the preparation of Sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account Management plans.

Manage and maintain key relationships with collaborating partners

Maintain and develop the CRM database, provide monthly sales reports and forecasts



You will have:

Ability to operate alone and to meet ambitious but achievable targets, particularly with regard to sales success

Self-disciplined with the ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment

Willingness to work irregular hours and perform extensive travel is essential



Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in an appropriate science subject

Laboratory experience in either a clinical, applied or industrial microbiology laboratory

Expert knowledge of analytical spectrometry or Microbiology

Clear understanding of the Australian clinical, applied and industrial markets, together with a proven track record of working with technology-based products in those markets

Good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors

Current valid driver's licence



Skills and experience:

Proven track record in interaction with customers involving capital sales and applications support within the life sciences, analytical instrument and clinical markets including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills

Specialist product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.

Commercial acumen and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value for money exercise

Computer literacy, especially with regard to modern scientific user interfaces, document and presentation preparation and report writing

Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English



This position can be based in Melbourne or Sydney
