Responsibilities

* Devising test strategies, including test plans, aligning with business objectives

* Creating, advising on, and managing test automation

* Reviewing test procedures and recommending improved practices and delivery methods

* Advising on improvements and enhancement to test processes through tool selection and more effective execution

* Performing scripted and exploratory testing

* Reporting the test results at both the team and the stakeholder level

* Continually improving personal testing skills, education, and attaining certifications

Essential

To qualify for the role you must have:

* Either a minimum of 2.1 degree (or equivalent) or appropriate technical certifications and degrees Experience with three or more of the following: Functional system testing, inter-system / application integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, security testing

* A proven track record in either a top tier consultancy, professional enterprise testing solutions provider, or long-term enterprise contracting

* Client-facing experience and effective communication skills: both verbal and written ability to articulate scenarios which cause software defects and explain your test ideas

* Self-motivated with an ability to work without direct supervision,

* Expertise/experience with testing management and support tools (e.g. HP Quality Center, JIRA, Testrail, Bugzilla, etc.)

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a team

* Proven technical ability, combined with strong business acumen
