Job Title: Technical Consultant/ Server/ Network/ Infrastructure Engineer/3rd line Support



Job Type: Full Time Permanent



Job Purpose: The client, a national outsource company with offices across the UK are looking for an IT Professional with excellent customer facing skills. The organisation has seen a rapid rise in business in the North East over the past 12 months and are looking to add an experienced professional to their close knit team to develop existing client relationships and develop new ones. The client is looking to become a 'Top 100 employer of choice and as such is going at length to support their staff. The offer extremely competitive training, with an in-house trainer offering opportunity to learn new Microsoft technologies when they become available. The client offers a competitive salary that includes a car allowance and travel expenses.



Job Role: The role will require the successful candidate to liaise with the client in both a solutions and support capacity. You will be required to work with the candidate, suggesting best technologies and agreeing steps with the client. The role will then require you to build, deploy, install and configure agreed infrastructure solution. You will ensure that 75% of working time is spent working with clients. Thereafter, you will support the client in a 3rd line capacity. This role require strong customer and end user skills, effectively you would be managing mini projects.



Job Skills: The successful candidate will have experience working with both Windows 2008 and 2012 R2 Servers, Microsoft Exchange 2010 and 2013, will have worked with Virtual servers using HyperV, Back up recovery using Symantec and have some knowledge of Cisco based network tools. Candidates lacking some of these skills will be considered as training is offered by the client. In addition to these technical skills, a candidate with good customer facing skills, with the ability to present themselves professionally and provide expert advice to a diverse client base would be ideal. A clean drivers licence is essential as travelling between client sites is essential.
