In a unique public sector environment, this small, professional and highly collaborative team develop frameworks and models to build capability for a varied and geographically dispersed workforce; both uniformed and civilian.



A rare permanent job has become available for an experienced Capability Development Advisor, who along with the team leader, will influence a broad range of stakeholders and contribute to the development and implementation of a challenging programme of work.



Providing specialist advice at national, regional and local level, this role will build and maintain strong and effective relationships at all levels. Undertaking comprehensive needs analysis to formulate evidence based recommendations you will build competency frameworks, guidelines and other services to support service delivery and manage risk, now and in the future.



The ability to ensure consistency and best practice across a number of agendas, and maintaining momentum within a fiscally constrained environment will be key to success in this role. Whilst you will have proven ability to communicate and facilitate capability development advice effectively; equally important will be flexibility, pragmatism and a desire to research, motivate and understand competencies in order to provide solutions that work under pressure.



As an understudy to the Team Leader, this is a fantastic opportunity for a degree qualified individual with Learning and Development or Organisational Development experience to make a real difference, both to their career, and this worthwhile organisation.



If you have good working knowledge of current theory and practice related to capability development and an understanding of machinery of government, apply today to be rewarded. Experience using the learning management system Totara will be highly regarded.
