Participate with Regional Directors and Managers in establishing long and short range IS audit plans, objectives and priorities; including the setting of scope of IS audit and support activities for specific audit engagements. Recruit, train and technically supervise IS auditors. Provide field review, supervision, and technical support for engagements. Evaluate and report on the adequacy of internal controls surrounding data processing installations, application systems, and computer security.Monitor compliance with corporate policies covering standards of control over IS planning, systems development, and other related matters. Draft audit reports containing suitable recommendations and review with operating and audit management. Plan and control expenses of IS audit office and perform other administrative duties related to the operation of that office. Coordinate/administer employee performance assessment and salary program in accordance with UTC and Department policy. Identify, analyze, and resolve complex auditing and information systems issues. Provide leadership which facilitates the accomplishment of UTC's Diversity Objectives by ensuring support systems and practices are in place to provide all employees the opportunity to contribute to their full potential, by identifying and eliminating the obstacles and barriers which prevent this from occurring. In all areas of responsibility, the incumbent is responsible for providing full compliance with the "UTC Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" and the "UTC Code of Ethics", which include ensuring subordinate staff are aware of the policies and that their responsibilities and actions comply with and support these policies. In all areas of responsibility which have a direct impact on the health and safety of employees and the environment, assure that appropriate safeguards are in place and that the UTC Policy and Principles on Human and Natural Resource Protection is fully supported and implemented. Responsible for the completion of other tasks related to this position as assigned by the Global Director of Internal Auditing or Director of Information Systems Audit. Actively participate in ACE teams and support Internal Audit ACE initiatives.
