About the team
HP Cloud is a fast-paced, dynamic business where a lot of moving parts need to work together tightly and in sync. The Business Operations team is responsible for ensuring this happens! We are a small team that is passionate about driving operational excellence and efficiency within the organization. We solve operational problems and remove roadblocks so the organization can focus on its goals
What We Need?
We are looking for a rock star business planning and operations manager who has very strong analytical skills that can work closely with leaders across the organization in the following areas.
- Executive Scorecards: Metrics and KPI
- Budget Management
- Business Planning
- Hiring & Onboarding
- Employee Engagement
- Operating Cadence
This individual should have the ability to work at a strategic level with leaders VP and above but also be able to roll up their sleeves and work tactically with individuals across the organization to drive key initiatives.
The daily job
• Develops recommendation from complex data and business analysis and formulates them into business plans.
• Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance, and recommends the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps.
• Drives the construction of highly innovative statistical and financial models to analyze new aspects of business performance.
• Manages cross functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional approaches, systems, information and support
• Drives all aspects of priority projects and makes final team decisions.
• Identifies or develops cutting edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
Typically 10+ years total experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.
Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Extensive knowledge of research methodology for the most challenging business issues.
• Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.
• Extensive knowledge of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
• Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.
• Excellent project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
• Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
• Strong leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
• Ability to lead multiple, large, time sensitive projects or work streams.
• Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data, and make clear and compelling business planning recommendations.
