This organisation is committed to listening and responding to the needs of its clientele and constantly strives to improve policy and program performance. Following the launch of a strategic plan, this organisation is looking to review its processes and systems.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will research, develop and implement effective procurement strategies. You will use sound methodologies to manage sales forecasts, stock levels and budgets. You will assist in contract negotiations within the approved pricing policy and ensure goods and materials are procured and delivered in accordance to requirements and you will be managing expense orders for direct and indirect products. This will require you to liaise with freight forwarders and resolve problems with late shipment, damaged or incorrect products.

You will demonstrate a track-record of high level negotiation and organisational skills of purchasing and procurement of materials within a metals manufacturing or similar environment and have exposure to dealing with overseas vendors whilst purchasing and sourcing direct materials. You will find it beneficial to have experience in an SAP environment with strong ethical business / commercial acumen. You will have sound oral and written communication skills and strong computer literacy with Microsoft Word & Excel.
