The vision for HP Shopping is to become a prime destination for learning more about HP’s products and the underlying innovation in the personal computing space, as well as being the place to purchase HP’s latest products. While we are currently working to re-launch our HP.com store, we are looking for top analytics talent to join our team.



The Ideal Candidate is someone who constantly raises the bar for her/himself and the team, thrives under pressure, enjoys the operational challenges of a growing business, can work with a diverse stakeholder group and geographically diverse team. She/he will support both the daily business analytics needs of the region, as well as drive analytics capability / solution development that can scale across regions. Solution development areas in focus are web analytics & optimization (A/B & Multivariate testing) and predictive modeling/ optimization.







The Role


  • Responsible for establishing a framework/mechanism for integrating analytics into core business processes so as to enable data-driven decision making

  • Partner closely with regional demand generation, category management, web merchandizing & operations functions to identify, prioritize and deliver a steady stream of reporting & business analytics that supports store objectives

  • As the subject matter expert, provide thought leadership to the organization and help business stakeholders understand and use web metrics/ insights to improve user experience and engagement (quantifiable) across the shopper journey

  • Develop an ongoing stream of analysis/ hypothesis based ideas for a/b/n, multivariate and algorithmic testing to improve customer experience, engagement and ROI

  • Build governance & communication rigor around the implementation and communication of analytics projects

  • Facilitate/co-ordinate the technical implementation of web analytics & online testing instrumentation by collaborating with the Global Product, e-Commerce Tech & Global Analytics teams

  • Prioritize, delegate/ conduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific questions from business stakeholders

  • Devise an effective operating model by which regional and global needs for metrics & analysis are prioritized & delivered




Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Business

  • 7-10 years total work experience, 4-5 years in eCommerce

  • 5+ years in analytics/ BI with a proven track record in driving tangible financial impact

  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to present clear and actionable results

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams

  • Strong understanding of online metrics and ecommerce business model

  • Team player with a must-do attitude, and ability to work with geographically diverse teams

  • Proficient at Web analytics tools like Adobe/Omniture (preferred), Google Analytics, WebTrends

  • Strong understanding and experience with online testing/ experimentation and associated technologies

  • Proficient with SQL to query clickstream databases

  • Strong people and project management skills, ability to structure work and lead analyst(s) on projects
