Supplier Responsibility EH&S Project Manager will play a lead role in Apple’s Environmental Health and Safety efforts in the supply chain management. This individual will work with the Supplier Responsibility Team and is based in China.



Key Qualifications

• Strong understanding of international EH&S policies and standards


• Demonstrate success in developing, executing and sustaining health and safety programs


• Successful track record as effective program / project manager, responsible for coordinating a series of projects reporting into senior management


• Experience with high volume manufacturing processes


• Excellent and effective communication skills, including presentation, oral and written


• Leadership ability and can work with the entire supply chain to ensure compliancy


• Strong work ethic – ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and timelines in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to influence and motivate internal and external teams


• Ability to think outside of box and has "can do" spirit


• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively and can work independently


• Exceptional problem solving/analytical skills
Fluent in Chinese and English


• Demonstrated leader with proven track record; a minimum of five years experience in EH&S

Description



Ensure supplier compliance with Apple’s Code of Conduct and required EH&S regulations and standards

Develop and expand on EH&S standard requirements as an extension of Apple’s Code of Conduct

Develop supplier EH&S strategies, metrics and action plans

Effectively communication on strategy and results of the EH&S initiatives

Problem-solve, recommend and implement complex solutions with required laws and regulations in all aspects of worker health and safety, including but not limited to:

- EH&S management systems

- Occupational injury prevention
- Prevention of chemical exposure

- Emergency prevention, preparedness and response

- Occupational safety procedures and systems

- Ergonomics

Worker dormitory and dining conditions

Support supplier health and safety training programs

Inspect supplier workplaces to ensure equipment, materials, and processes meet Apple’s Code of Conduct

Investigate supplier EH&S complaints, and workplace injuries

Work closely with suppliers, external consultants, SR team members and global supply managers to ensure closure of noncompliance issues

Monitor on-site verification audit processes, corrective action plans and progress

Perform analysis on special programs as required

Generate and distribute monthly, quarterly and as-needed summaries, analysis, repor
