Internal Auditor - Lloyd's Underwriter

A leading Lloyd's underwriters are now recruiting for an internal auditor. Working alongside the Head of Audit this internal audit job will cover all of the companies main business functions, including SOX testing, and give a very good insight into the wider Lloyd's insurance market.



This internal audit position will entail a high level of autonomy and allow the successful candidate to make a lasting impact on the business and the way its corporate governance functions are carried out. You will work on the audit plan from the planning stage through to the operational testing and reporting stage. Building and managing good relationships with senior stakeholders will be key and allow for a smooth audit review of the various business lines. This is a great opportunity for a current internal auditor to gain experience of the London insurance market and build an enhanced knowledge of a London underwriters.



Responsibilities include:



-Auditing underwriting, claims, HR, legal as well as a number of different areas of the business

-Carrying out the regular testing to assess compliance with SOX

-Acting as the Head of Audit's deputy and assisting him in completing the annual audit plan



Ideal candidate:



-Must currently be an internal auditor in the general or Lloyds insurance market.

-Must have a sufficient working knowledge of SOX.

-Excellent communication skills and can build and maintain excellent working relationships

-Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
