Connectivity and Mobility Lead

Within our Technology Support and Consulting group we have an opportunity for a new Networking and Mobility Portfolio Lead to join our Consulting team, to drive growth of the consulting business, generating demand and creating a new order pipeline.
In the role of Networking & Mobility Portfolio Lead you will lead the Consulting engagements for the Networking & Mobility service lines and will support large engagements in the Datacentre, Cloud and Storage service lines. The scope includes market planning & strategy, solution development, architecture, SOW writing, pricing and technical expertise. You will be accountable for Orders, Revenue and Margin and will regularly report on the forecast to enable accuracy and predictability of the consulting business.
The Portfolio lead reports to the TS Country Manager and is responsible for identifying market opportunities and developing solutions. You will support and enable the Sales team in presenting HP solution value propositions to customers. This will include partner solutions where appropriate to bring additional value to the customer and business growth to HP.
It is expected that you closely follow the market trends and relevant developments in the services marketplace in New Zealand and across the region. As a Portfolio Lead you are a senior consultant who is respected for your detailed knowledge and experience in your solution area and for your overall IT expertise. The Portfolio lead translates the HP strategy and consulting portfolio into solutions that are ready for the New Zealand market, enabling Go-to-Market teams while building capability across the TS teams.
While your activities are primarily customer focused you will assist both the Sales and the Delivery organization through knowledge enablement, pre and post sales opportunity support and mentorship.
Qualifications
Education, Skills and Experience
- 7+ years experience in IT solution development and pre-sales activities with an emphasis on networks, end-user compute and unified communications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills targeting a diverse audience from executive to technical
- Extensive knowledge of the New Zealand IT market dynamics and the surrounding IT landscape
- Proven ability to build and sustain valuable customer relationships
- Team player supporting colleagues from the initial sales stages through to the delivery and closure
