Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for identifying resources, evaluating progress and implementing projects in a timely and cost efficient manner. Acting as the main interface between the customer and Emerson Network Power, the Senior Project Manager will ensure the execution of projects in accordance with the agreed technical agreements.
The successful candidate will have minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, as well as experience in managing people and will be Prince 2 (or equivalent) certified. Job Responsibilities:
- Translate customer needs/requirements into detailed project plans shared with company functions involved and drive internal execution to meet targets
- Play a proactive role in anticipating and preventing problems during the project life cycle by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving other departments in the resolution
- Oversee the purchasing activities of the projects in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager to ensure meeting the budget and develop cost reduction and cost containment actions
- Coordinate deliveries with clients and purchasing in order to avoid inventory. Coordinate local subcontractors for site activities for installations and service team for on time start-ups
- Responsible of the timeliness, quality and maintenance of the project reports and documentation package (i.e. drawings, specifications, customer requirements, minutes of meetings, certificates, proof of delivery, etc.)
- Develop long-lasting customer relationships
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of projects’ revenue/margins.
- Provide regular communication updates to departmental staff/peers and functions.
- Raise invoice requests for a timely billing
Additional Company Information
Basic Qualifications:
- Prince 2 (or equivalent) certified
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a project management role
- Proven experience of managing people
- Experienced in negotiating with managing sub-contractors
- Ability to understand commercial business contracts and a sound knowledge of contract agreements and contract law.
- Attention to details and the ability to manage a number of tasks/priorities at any given time.
- The ability to work under pressure and to agreed timescales.
- Customer oriented behavior, ability to deal with complex customers and meet specific requirements when needed.
- Team player, able to effectively communicate with peers and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or Business Management
- Knowledge of ENP products and solutions
