Vice President / Associate Director - Financial Lines Underwriting



A global insurer is looking for a Vice President / Associate Director in Financial Lines Underwriting to manage and grow its business in Singapore and the region.



Reporting to the Director of Underwriting, you will plan and manage the liabilities and surety line of business, manage product mix, pricing and margins as well as maintain and develop existing and new customers. Supporting you in this portfolio is a team of motivated underwriters who will report to and learn from you.



As an expert, you will also underwrite sophisticated risks, while analysing and reporting on the performance of liabilities and surety line of business.



To be considered for this role, you must have a relevant university degree or Insurance Profession Qualifications with at least 8 years of relevant experience in underwriting and managing liabilities insurance products. You must also have a good knowledge of the market to identify opportunities and foresee threats. With talented underwriters under your charge, you are expected to have experience in managing a team.

To excel in this role, you will possess financial or legal knowledge, coupled with the ability to comprehend numeric data and monitor a portfolio of business.
