Our client is an Australian internet services provider employing the latest technologies and leading the competition in terms of technical capability and service. They are currently expanding their network Operations Centre and needs an IT support operator to join their Network Operations Centre.



This industry pace-setter operates within the education and research sector and provides high capacity, leading edge Internet Services for its customers. This is a superb opportunity to further develop a career specialising in the latest internet technologies.



You will monitor network infrastructure and services and respond to incidents, faults and difficulties, managing them through to resolution. The role will mainly involve email and telephone support to customers, partners, suppliers and staff.



You will have past experience in:



Knowledge of Telecommunications infrastructure, including Optical Fibre, DWDM, Ethernet and TCP/ IP

A related support role and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven background providing telephone support to users

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

An Australian driving license is a must, to facilitate after hours travel

A qualification in IT is highly regarded



The role works on a 24x7 shift roster and you must be willing to work these shifts to be considered for the role.
