A government department located in Melbourne is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the team on a temporary basis for at least 3 months to assist with multiple construction projects from concept, design, and construction.



Reporting to the manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of capital works projects that are at various stages of completion including, design, procurement of contracts and construction. This may include maintenance upgrades, asbestos removal, building fabrication and multiple capital works projects including refurbishment, upgrade and new construction works.



You will be required to effectively manage large and diverse stakeholders groups and liaise with external consultants including engineers and architects as well as internal departments. You will have a broad technical knowledge of the practical aspects of building construction, delivery and management coupled with sound knowledge of Building Code of Australia and Australian Standard documentation for OH&S and tendering.



To be successful you will have excellent technical knowledge of how a building is constructed as well as its structural components whilst being able to manage multiple building projects from concept through to completion including project documentation. You will combine this knowledge with a Bachelor degree in Architecture or Engineering (preferably structural) along with excellent communication abilities and strong stakeholder consultation.
