My client provide consultancy and leading edge software solutions for a wide variety of US, EU and UK based clients in the insurance, healthcare, retail and public sector markets. Committed to Cork having operated here since the late 1990's and employing close to 200 people, my client employs a wide range of technologies including Mobile (iOS, Android, Windows), Java/J2EE (with Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Tomcat), Oracle 9i, Microsoft ASP and ASP.Net, C# and C++.





The Role

* Working on high profile projects the successful candidate will contribute to the creation of innovative designs for interactive mediums, including websites, mobile applications, social and video.

* Creating wireframes, comps, storyboards, initial graphic concepts and final deliverables

* Help balance creativity with client business objectives

* Working alongside the creative team in designing and communicating industry-leading creative concepts

* Assisting the creative team growth by encouraging them to push boundaries

* Participating in creative brainstorming sessions



Requirements

A third level qualification is highly beneficial but not essential. My client is open to considering candidates with strong, demonstrable practical skills.



* Ability to design and build design concepts in HTML/CSS/JavaScript (i.e., as a working design, not just a static comp).

* A demonstrable flair for Front End Design

* A passion for digital design including mobile

* Awareness of specific issues when designing for interactive (accessibility, legibility, usability)

* An eagerness to work in a team environment

* An excellent portfolio, and great personality driven by passion

* Understanding of mobile and responsive design

* Articulating creative concepts and rationale for client and team

* Ability to listen and learn from team members

* Great attention to detail

* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Motion graphics a distinct advantage)
