Strategic Planner - Band 6

Assist in the delivery of sustainable growth



This municipality who have an already experienced and stable Planning team are actively seeking the support of an experienced Strategic Planner to assist on the delivery of a range of projects. Working within an experienced team, your duties and responsibilities will be broad and this permanent position will suit a Strategic Planner keen on a diverse and varied role.



This position will see the successful candidate assist in the delivery of sustainable growth in both new and existing communities as well as be heavily involved in the delivery of a range of precinct structure plans, development plans and strategy plans. You will also be responsible for preparing and managing project briefs for consultants and ensuring this work is carried out effectively.



Other duties and responsibilities include liaising with a variety of stakeholders, representing council at VCAT, reviewing and monitoring local policy provisions and preparing planning scheme amendments.



The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the planning scheme in Victoria and have a sound understanding of strategic land use planning principles and land development issues. It is important that you are a strong team player that possess exceptional communication skills.
