Internal Audit - Data Analytics Director

A newly created role has come up with a top-tier bank here in Singapore for a Data Analytics expert to join the Internal Audit team.



The Data Analytics team works collaboratively with stakeholders to manage project delivery and lead teams of data analytics resources in all aspects of design and delivery of information solutions. the team is integrated into the audit function and assists in leveraging data as an asset throughout the audit lifecycle. You will become part of the regional senior management team and the regional audit coordinator committee. As part of your responsibilities, you shall advice stakeholders on analytical options to address their specific needs, including discussing potential analytical approaches to problems, associated costs and trade-offs, and recommendations. In additional, you will also coordinate and implement analytical business and technology solutions to support audit and innovation initiatives.



The ideal candidate would have a Master's degree in an analytical field such as Engineering, Math, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology from a leading university. Professional qualification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CFE) is preferred. In addition, you should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in programming, application or reporting development experience (SAS, SQL, Business Objects, MS SQL Server, Teradata, ACL). Relevant work experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor for a financial services company is essential, as with a comprehensive understanding of Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Wealth Management in an APAC setup.



Travel commitment is required. Travel expectation during the first year is 50% and will require onsite delivery in the APAC region.
