Transport Manager

My client is a leading Employer of Choice in the local area. And an unique opportunity has arisen for a highly effective and ambitious Transport Manager to join this world renowned automotive organisation.



Managing a team of 3 and reporting directly to the Department Manager, you will ensure that the smooth flow of components in to the operation. You will be responsible for effectively managing the relationships with external transport partners, ensuring SLA's and KPI's are adhered to.



The successful candidate will have:



· Proven experience of 3PL / 4PL / stakeholder management & development

· Understanding of legislation for transport operations within the UK & EU

· Proven experience in commercial negotiation

· People management within a cross functional team

· A flexible approach to concern management

· Project management - creation & delivery

· An understanding of global supply chains & manufacturing processes

· Strong negotiation skills across all levels both internal & external

· Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to all levels

· Ability to manage, prioritise time and tasks effectively
