This busy iconic retail company based in St Kilda Suburbs has a fast paced working environment and a great culture.



Due to an internal move, a position has opened up for a sole charge Payroll Manager to be responsible for the payroll of 600 staff.



In this hands on role you will be reporting into the company Accountant and will be responsible to manage, direct, control and process the company's payroll and all other payroll related duties. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processes including on a weekly and monthly payment run; Payroll Accounting, Compliance, People administration, Project and system work. Reconciliations of leave entitlements, shift-calculations, award interpretation, worker's compensation, payroll clearing accounts, timesheet processing and payroll queries.



The successful candidate will have in depth payroll processing knowledge as well as people management experience. You will have previously been responsible for a large payroll within a sole charge role and will be comfortable in a fast paced environment.



Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will aid you in communicating with the broader business; a high-level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisation skills are essential. Due to the fast paced nature of this role the ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of Payglobal software.
