Job Description: pMPS Technical Consultant
Business Context for this position:
Partner Managed Print Services (P-MPS) is a relatively new WW business organization hosted in the PPS Managed Services (MS) Category. The MS Category includes the Enterprise Managed Print Services business and the emerging P-MPS business. P-MPS is a portfolio of contractual managed print services offering sold primarily by IT Reseller partners to SMB & Enterprise segment end customers.
HP acquired a P-MPS company called Printelligent in July, 2011. The P-MPS team is now expanding the Printelligent service, sales, infrastructure, and business model to other regions and countries outside of the US and a key target launch country in APJ is India. This role is vital to structure the solution, run the opportunity through the entire MPS sales cycle from assessment to TCO analysis and create unique solution positions for the customer.
Position Description:
His/Her roles and responsibilities are :
• Support Business for driving pMPS business plan.
• Responsible for line management duties of presales , solution design and support implementation team.
• Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of MPS methodologies, processes, and solutions
• Support and conduct partner workshops, to train, for requirements gathering, solution proposal and return on investment analysis.
• Contribute to Proposals/Statements of Work , pricing
• Contribute to drive business through partner schemes , contest in creating deal based solutions.
• Keep abreast of developments in the localization industry and technology market including competitors’ offerings
• Provide project guidance during Pre Sales and Post Sales cycle with customer / partner
• Develop structure for business operation for smooth delivery of contractual obligation
Additional responsibilities could include:
• Supporting PBMs with MPS sales planning and training on a regular basis to maintain focus on pMPS business.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
• Technical qualification with Post Graduate in Business Management or equivalent.
• Typically 2-5 years of Techno commercial experience with a mix of Account Management , Team Management and Customer Handling
• Experience in MPS and workflow solution architecture , project implementation
• Past experience in the managed services business would be an added advantage and a critical requirement.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• knowledge of Information Technology (IT) and services industry
• Strong business acumen and methodological planner for short term and long term.
• A strong communicator with excellent presentation skills. Highly developed negotiation/ influencing skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams, develop relationships with partners and customers.
• Broad knowledge of the regions market, business assessment and IT solution partners for the region.
• A cross functional worker with ability to work with different teams in a collaborative business environment for delivering results.
• Knowledgeable about HP’s printing & services businesses, channel models, market trends, and HP relevant resources & connections is an added advantage.
