This leading national tier 2 contractor has delivered some of Melbourne's iconic buildings for both public and private clients. They are now looking for a professional project manager to join their team to oversee projects in excess of $40m. These projects will vary from high rise apartment buildings, to commercial offices, leisure and health facilities and large scale fit out.

With a number of recent successes they are now looking to bolster the team for 2014 with an immediate start available.



As project manager you will be fully responsible for managing the successful delivery of a wide variety of commercial construction projects from inception through to handover. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to



Setting programmes and budgets

Managing of head contract and overseeing of all subcontracts prior to commencement

Managing relationships with all parties at every stage of the projects, including clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors and your own project team.

Charismatic demeanour enabling you to drive the project and your team to timely completion.



The successful candidate will ideally have the following traits.

Tertiary qualification in a construction related field

A minimum of 4/5 years project management experience for a mid tier commercial contractor

You must have proven ability in delivering projects in excess of $40m from inception to handover.

Excellent knowledge of the Melbourne market including subcontractors, architects, consultants etc



We have been given strict guidelines to adhere to and to be eligible you must have the above traits. You will have worked your way up from a contract administrator or project engineer position on commercial projects while being promoted from within. You will have an in depth portfolio of completed projects in the commercial sector above $40m as a project manager and have shown loyalty to your previous employers.
