An employee-owned multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with offices across Canada, has an immediate job opportunity for a Group Transportation Manager based in their Vancouver / Burnaby office. With expertise in the areas of transportation, infrastructure and water, the job has arisen because of a gap in the firms’ succession plan, coupled with a number of big project wins and a steady growth strategy over the past number of years.



As the Group Transportation Manager and part of the senior management team, you will be directly responsible for growing the transportation business, developing new and existing clients, maintaining and increasing profitability and ensuring that group strategy is aligned with that of the firm. You will provide senior level oversight and direction to an experienced team of senior engineers, project managers and discipline leads and act as senior peer reviewer and technical expert on transportation and infrastructure projects. In a project capacity, you will be required to act as the main point of contact with the client on larger scale projects – which may be in the areas of land development, municipal or roads and highways.



As a Senior Civil Engineering professional, you will have at least 15-20 years of experience working within the Transportation Infrastructure sector, and a minimum of 5+ years in a senior management role. To be considered for this job, you must have substantial experience working in Vancouver / Lower Mainland – you should have strong and established relationships with the MoT and the various Municipalities and large Developers throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. A degree in Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGBC are equally as important as having sound marketing and business development experience. You will have proven successes in winning new business and leading a team of senior engineers.
