Customer Care Manager

I am delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Care Manager on behalf of a global, market leading manufacturer that have their UK head office in Tameside. My client has gone through a significant management restructure and period of growth over the last couple of years, therefore this role has been created to support the Senior European Sales and Customer Care Manager and will be responsible for a fairly new team within customer care.
The role:
This is a hands-on role and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring service levels are honoured and plans implemented effectively to deliver the business targets. Working alongside and managing the Customer Care team the post holder will need to maximise the efficient use of time and resources and have a strong customer focus.
In addition to supporting the team and providing support to the European Customer Care Manager, you will deal with customer orders, customer enquiries, sample requests and customer complaints and liaise with customers via telephone and e-mail. Cross-functional working is paramount to the success of the team and to ensure the customers' needs are met you will also need to act as an internal liaison with other internal departments and functions across multiple sites and provide support to the external sales team. You will be responsible for promoting ownership and have accountability for the team's performance and you will be required to compile any pertinent information that may have an effect on the business via CRM.
Skills & Competencies required:
The ideal applicant will have the confidence to work in a manufacturing environment, with internal clients who are dedicated professionals. As the ideal candidate, you will already be a proven manager, be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude with initiative and drive to motivate others through your effective management and leadership style.
Your ability to communicate effectively at various levels leads you to actively encourage communication and interaction between team members and other teams to ensure problems are efficiently overcome and new skills are adapted and utilised.
A flair for problem solving, you proactively seek improvements to process and procedure to bring fresh ideas to the team that ensures business requirements are met and to co-ordinate customer requirements from enquiry to delivery. Your strong knowledge of Microsoft packages and knowledge of SAP and CRM enable you to carry out your duties effectively and efficiently.
As a responsible, confident and commercially minded individual you will need to demonstrate a proactive and service minded approach with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
