One of Queensland's major coal operators has an immediate need for a Mechanical Fixed Plant Planner on site, in the Bowen Basin Region. The contract on offer is for an immediate start and is confirmed until the end of June 2015 at this stage. The role is best suited to a resident of the Bowen Basin Region or Mackay as it requires a Monday -Friday roster, with camp accommodation provided throughout.



With relevant experience in a mechanical shutdown maintenance planning role, in an open cut coal mining environment, you will be responsible for the planning of shutdown maintenance activities and cost tracking to meet set targets. You will be developing scope of work, materials orders and track progress throughout the shutdowns on site. Along with this, you will assist in developing scope of works to be sent to vendors for tendering.



Relevant mechanical trade qualifications are required, as well as extensive fixed plant knowledge to be successful in this role. 1SAP exposure, a current Generic Standard 11 Induction certificate and a Coal Board Medical are key requirements, as well as your effective organisational and communication skills that will assist you in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This role has an immediate requirement so all applications will be processed in a matter of urgency.
