The Finance team in Cork manages all accounting activities for Apple’s extensive business in Europe. This growing team, which numbers approximately 250 Finance professionals supports more than 40 legal entities in 20 countries across the region. The team forms part of a dynamic global organisation, aligned by process tracks, which are managed locally, but with a strong alignment to global process ownership. We are currently seeking to recruit a Consumer Services Accountant to join the team in Cork. The Consumer Services team is responsible for the receipt of consumer payments for Online Store, iTunes and Retail for EMEIA. These will be high volume accounts, which will require daily monitoring. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements.

Key Qualifications:

•SAP experience an advantage

•Possess good communication, organisation, technical and analytical skills.

•Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines

•Excellent team player with individual initiative

•Identify issues and drive to resolution on a timely basis

•Ability to build effective relationships

Description:

Execution of credit cards, cash and debit cards accounting activities for the EMEA region within a strict deadline.

General Ledger postings and reconciliations

Timely resolution of any failed batch jobs/postings/fallout

Prepare Month End/Quarter End accruals and analysis

Ensuring account integrity, including full periodic BS reviews

Participate in ongoing projects and system testing

Participate in Credit Card Services continuous process improvements

Ensure business procedures and internal controls comply with requirements of Sarbanes Oxley legislation.

Liaise with external Auditors on Quarterly Group US GAAP audit •Key role in the implementation of best in class accounting processes

Support and back up other team members

Education:

Qualified Accountant
