Associate Professional: Project Management

Washington D.C. Metro Area, US - Information Technology and Services

Summary



Provides project management, process support, and administrative assistance to the Ethics and Compliance Office (ECO) and the investigations/litigation department of the Office of General Counsel.



Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in establishing objectives for small to medium sized projects to achieve business results by established, critical dates.

  • Assists in coordinating deliverables for small to medium sized projects. Ensures adherence to schedules, deadlines, and products. Escalates matters of significance as appropriate.

  • Assists in monitoring and redefining project objectives to respond to changes in the business environment. Provides requested data or information to support changes.

  • Assist in coordinating inter-project dependencies, resource allocation, release planning, technology and architecture to meet business needs.

  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and monitoring of the budget for a small to medium sized projects to ensure cost effectiveness.

  • Monitors progress of project requirements and provides reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees, and business function managers to support projects in achieving the intended business results.

  • Interacts with client program sponsor and program steering board to communicate program issues and progress.

  • Assists in coordinating change in project direction, scope, benefits, costs, and timing while minimizing financial risks. Ensures adherence to same.






Project Management and Process Support




  • Provides sustained support for key ECO and investigations/litigation department projects and processes.







  • Develops and maintains SharePoint facility for the ECO. Develops and maintains indexed electronic file share to support key ECO investigation, compliance, and ethics processes.







  • Coordinates weekly case aging meetings, tracks outcomes/next actions decided, prepares draft legal memos for counsel to send investigative results to business partners.







  • Provides tracking, research, and record-keeping support for third-party due diligence activities in the corruption/bribery compliance unit.







  • Researches and develops data inputs for periodic regulatory compliance reporting. Drafts cover letters and prepares government forms; prepares registration/license requests and renewals.







  • Provides support to legal department colleagues responsible to coordinate monthly ASC 450 reporting.







  • Provides support to the implementation and run/maintain phases of the legal department's matter management system.







  • Develops and maintains deal pipeline status reports for general counsel and legal/contracts personnel.






Executive Support




  • Provides administrative support to the Ethics and Compliance Office and the investigations/litigation department of the Office of the General Counsel.







  • Assists in the management of the appointment calendar for two legal department executives.







  • Provides travel planning, expense reporting, procurement, and accounts payable processing support.







  • Maintains hard copy records of the Ethics and Compliance Office briefings given to management and the board.






Necessary Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training or experience as a paralegal is a plus.







  • Excellent organization skills and supreme attention to detail.







  • Confidence to make the most of project assignments without daily supervision.







  • Aptitude for communicating effectively and writing clearly/concisely.







  • Expert user of the Microsoft Office suite of software beyond Word. Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and others proficiently to draft memoranda, correspondence, and business plans, present ideas, and analyze/organize data.







  • Comfortable and confident interfacing with leadership at the highest levels of a global, FORTUNE-200 company.







  • Professional, calm maturity that allows for success in fast-paced environment in which priorities shift frequently.






Qualifications:



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred

  • Zero or more years of experience in project planning

  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices

    • Good Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients

    • Personal computer and business solutions software skills
