Pre-Sales Technical Consultant Networking

We are currently looking for an entry level-intermediate Pre-sales Network Channel Consultant based in Auckland where you will be supporting the channel enablement for Hewlett Packard’s network technology in the pursuit of the customers technical requirements. This role will see you supporting Hewlett Packard customers and working closely with the Channel Sales team as well as the wider network team.
We are looking for someone who is early in their career with a couple years of technical hands on experience within a network background who has a solid understanding of the sales process. You will be forward thinking in terms of network technology and not bound up in the old traditional way of networking.
Ideally you will have relevant technical certifications as well as an awareness of OpenFlow, Software-defined networking (SDN) and finally Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), NFV would be beneficial but is not necessary.
Joining a team of 6 pre-sales consultants you will be a team player who has the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Job Skills Required:
• 2-3 years of experience in the networking space.
• An awareness of the technologies driving the Software Defined IT infrastructure, including the differing server virtualization platforms, OpenFlow and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) would be beneficial but is not necessary.
• Understanding of the sales process.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, time management and attention to detail with a strong focus on customer service.
• Prepared to lead one-to-one and one-to-many presentations and training activities (David – or similar to indicate ability to present/train. A good chunk of the Partner Enablement for SAs is training, some as formal training run by the applicant and some by organising other speakers)
• Ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
• Passionate about sales and technology.
• Relevant technical certification - with experience around networking
