Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Category Manager to join our team in Hoddesdon.



The Role:

• 
  


• To effectively manage the Product Category Management Team


• Responsible for meeting agreed targets for stock turns, margins and discontinued stock.


• Monitor targets & KPI s for the Product Category Management Team.


• To monitor product supply performance and product life cycle assessment. Embracing 'cradle to grave' product category management philosophy.


• Assist with and develop catalogue production procedures as directed by Production Manager.


• Establish, develop and maintain workflow processes with the Product Category Management Team.


• Maintain your own product category portfolio and relevant catalogue production duties.


• To establish and maintain strong trading relationships with suppliers, forming firm partnerships to meet business objectives


• Maintain awareness of market price trends identify commercial opportunities and negotiate ongoing cost prices in line with margin objectives.


• Negotiation of supplier commercial terms, performance assessment and appraisal & implementing robust supplier assessment procedures.


• Communicate & report to colleagues with relevant management information as appropriate and management of relevant routine tasks.


• Meet targets for supplier contributions, including space contribution, photography and marketing activity.

The Person:


The successful candidate will be extremely commercial, a team player with a positive and flexible approach, and excellent communication skills. You will have experience of working in a product category role and have catalogue product management, analytical and problem solving skills. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a product category team and catalogue production whilst coping with demanding workloads and timescales. You will need to have sound organisational and planning skills and excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise work. You will also be able to positively build relationships, influence and negotiate with others.
