HP Shopping’s global eCommerce division operates online stores in over 19 countries and generates sales of over $1B a year.
Hewlett Packard is seeking an experienced UX designer to join our global online eCommerce team. The UX lead is responsible for crafting a world-class user experience for web and mobile as we transform HP’s global online store.
We seek versatility, thorough attention to detail, and empathy for our users’ needs. You should be obsessed with design, and you should thrive in a highly collaborative and iterative product environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create compelling visual designs and interactions for HP’s global eCommerce desktop and mobile sites
- Own the vision for developing, communicating and implementing the user experience and associated UI frameworks to optimize the user experience
- Produce user flows, wireframes, storyboards, user interface specifications and final graphics
- Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns and libraries
- Perform metrics analysis to inform design/UX optimization efforts; track and analyze customer behavior/feedback
- Collaborate closely with visual designers, front-end developers and business stakeholders from concept generation through final implementation
- Work strategically with the product, business and engineering teams to constantly innovate and improve the user experience
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, graphic designer, art/creative director or similar role
- Extensive experience with responsive/Adaptive design knowledge, especially related to user interaction and interface design, user experience, and web and mobile platform guidelines
- Demonstrable experience in interaction design principles and tools (wireframes, personas, mental models, etc.)
- Experience using prototyping tools such as Pixate, Macaw, Axure, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Design, Human Factors or equivalent experience is a plus
- Understanding of eCommerce is a plus
- Clear communicator, self-motivated, natural problem solver with demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured environment working on multiple projects simultaneously
