HP Software is currently recruiting for an energetic Sales Specialist - Software to work in our Melbourne office. As Sales Specialist - Software you will identify and close opportunities for a defined list Commercial and NSW Government clients for our Operations Software Portfolio. The ITOM (IT Operations Management) Software Portfolio is comprised of: Service Management; Cloud and Automation; and Service Monitoring.



Your duties will typically include:


  • Creating and driving sales pipeline

  • Using specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit

  • Pipeline management and forecasting via Salesforce

  • Ability to facilitate and accelerate complex sales cycle to closure

  • Establishing a professional, working, and consultative relationship with clients, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry

  • Attending customer meetings, workshops, presentations

  • Investing time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sales

  • Maintaining knowledge of competitors in accounts to strategically position HP's products and services better


Knowledge and Attribute Required:


  • 5 years+ Sales experience, meeting and/or exceeding quotas/targets

  • 2 years+ experience selling IT Operations Software Sales

  • Proven ability to develop strategic channel partnerships

  • Strong consultative and solution sales capability

  • Capable of building relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation to board level

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred
