Our client is a well-established manufacturer and distributor in its industry.



The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for purchasing various commodities like steel, fasteners and a variety of industrial products for distribution. You will be responsible for working with suppliers locally and globally. Having offshore buying experience is key for this role. You must have experience in purchasing, inventory management and forecasting. You will manage PO’s, requisitions and utilize your sense of urgency to get the job done. Utilizing your analytical skills is key for this role. You must have experience working in a manufacturing or a distribution environment.



As the ideal candidate for this role you must have 3 to 5 years of experience as a Buyer. You must have experience in purchasing, inventory management and forecasting. Experience working with global suppliers is mandatory for this role. You must be highly analytical and must have advanced skills in excel. You must have experience in purchasing steel, fasteners, wires, nuts, bolts or other industrial products. There is minimal production on-site so you must have experience purchasing in a distribution environment. You must be the type of individual that creates a positive work environment, shows the highest priority to customer satisfaction and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
