SENIOR RETAIL TRAVEL SALES CONSULTANT

I am currently recruiting for a successful and established travel agency seeking to appoint a Senior Retail Travel Consultant in their new branch in Central Cambridge (with easy access routes as on the Newmarket side) and seeking cv's for a start asap.

The purpose of the role:

To generate sales of all travel products. To support the management team in providing a specialist travel service, tailor-made to customers requirements in line with the retail mission statement and values. To deputise for the assistant manager in his / her absence.



Reporting to:Branch Manager.



Key Duties:





To provide support to the assistant manager and to deputise in his / her absence.

The selling and effective administration of chosen travel products to all customers. Products to includes package and independent holidays, cruises, air travel, hotels, car hire and insurance.

To assist the management team in assessing and developing all relevant marketing opportunities for the branch as they arise.

Work closely with Discover Down Under, to maximise all revenue earning opportunities for the Company.

Maintain a close working relationship with all key personnel in the company.

Other ad-hoc duties as required by the demands of the business



Knowledge for this vacancy:

To be successful in an application for this post, we would be seeking cv's to demonstrate the following.



Good experience of retail travel.

An excellent general knowledge of the travel industry.

Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.

Conversant with all relevant computer reservation and admin.

Systems.Knowledge of customer care principles.

Selling and negotiating knowledge.

A comprehensive knowledge of world geography.
