Solution Designer / Architect

The Solution Designer will have responsibility for scoping, designing and implementing applications / IT solutions predominantly based on SAS technology. Strong liaison with various internal groups involved in other areas of systems and solutions architectures and designs, as well as the development project team, will be necessary to ensure business needs are understood and satisfied. The Solution Designer will need to have a solid knowledge in current technologies and a proven background in building successful relationships with key business stakeholders in order to perform their role successfully.



Resposbibilites

* Producing solution designs and associated functional specifications predominantly with SAS technology.

* Implementing operational solutions based on the EA target reference architecture and IT's Technology Principles.

* Scoping and designing the overarching SAS solution design in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Enterprise Architects.

* Liaising with customer facing groups as needed to understand client and customer needs in a rapidly evolving environment.

* Making application design decisions that ensure effective, secure, scalable, convergent, flexible and manageable solutions of high standards.

* Ensuring that the IT solution will satisfy the business needs in a cost effective, resilient and operable fashion.

* Ensuring that chosen architectural solutions are scalable in order to satisfy a future demand for the enhanced / new service(s).

* Ensuring that chosen architectural solutions are convergent in order to take advantage of internal and external needs along with a broad range of service needs.



Technical Capability

* Extensive experience in producing SAS solution designs and associated functional specifications.

* Extensive experience in implementing operational solutions based on the EA target reference architecture and IT's Technology Principles.

* Proven solution architecture and design experience in SAS or any other similar data analytics solutions

* Proven experience in one or more of the following: CRM, case management, workflow, portals, registries and reporting and data analytics.

* Proven experience in, and a detailed understanding of, the underlying technologies of Technology Platform (i.e. SAS, Microsoft Dynamics, Java, Siebel / Oracle fusion).

* An ability to quickly develop a detailed knowledge of application, infrastructure and test environment.

* Business Acumen, Issue Resolution, and Critical Thinking.



Qualifications

* Minimum of ten years in a Solutions Architecture / Solution Design position working on Data analytics (SAS or other enterprise grade data analytics platform) CRM (Microsoft Dynamics preferably), case management, workflow, portals, registries as well as reporting and data analytics.

* Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
