I am actively recruiting for a Project Manager for a 12 month contract to start immediately at a growing State Government department. This NSW state directorate is responsible for managing national partnerships, state and commonwealth funding arrangements, national and interagency policy and providing advice to executives on agenda items of the Council of Australian Government.



You will primarily be required, to provide program management and strategic support to the General Manager, ensuring the planning, reporting and implementation of the reforms (such as the implementation of new legislation, consultation processes associated with governance reform and responses to Commonwealth issues) occur in a timely manner. This role demands extensive experience in strategic level project management of sensitive information, complex projects, and critical timelines.



To be successful, you will require: Five years plus experience working as a senior project officer with senior managers; Extensive experience in strategic management of complex projects and sensitive information and managing critical timelines for seamless delivery; Excellent writing skills to assist and coordinate the development/finalisation of government briefings, papers, reports and other high level correspondence; Sound experience in using Word, Excel and Power Point software to create and format text, graphs, charts and tables; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to take direction and manage high volume workloads in a changing environment.



It would be highly advantageous if you held a tertiary education in relevant field of study, a good understanding of the workings of the public sector, experience in supporting the implementation of change management projects and experience in setting up and managing administrative processes and systems
