An experienced and dedicated Assistant Accountant is required to join a passionate, friendly team in a leading edge company that mixes creativity with business and a strong work ethic. This is initially a maternity leave contract for 3-4 months with the possibility to extend.



Working closely with the Finance Manager the most important part of this role is to process the weekly and fortnightly payroll using MYOB including PAYG, payroll tax and super. In addition to this you will assist with accounts payable and receivable, assist with preparation of employment contracts and inductions, mentor and oversee a part-time accounts assistant and take on general administration as required.



To be successful in this role you will need end to end payroll experience using MYOB, experience in AP/AR; strong Word and Excel, accurate data entry and tertiary qualifications in accounting. You will also need to have strong communication skills, be well organised and able to work well as part of a team. A positive attitude and good problem solving skills will also see you perform at your best in this role.
