A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Coordinator of Financial Management to join this Local Government located approximately 3000km from Perth in the scenic Far North of Western Australia, initially offered on a 3 month residential temporary contract-with the opportunity for extension.



Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services you will be responsible for budget compliance and day to day financial management of the organisation. You will contribute to the development, implementation and achievement of the organisations Strategic Community Plan, along with the Corporate Business Plan in accordance with the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.



You will also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Asset Management Accountant as well as the Finance Officer and will be involved in numerous projects, engaging with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.



Success in this role will be achieved through prior experience and knowledge of local government legislation in relation to all financial matters, proven experience in the development of budgets and management of budget processes. You will also have demonstrated experience in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.



Possession of, or progression towards gaining professional CA/CPA membership, advanced Microsoft excel skills and knowledge of the SynergySoft financial system are also desirable.
